Culture Shock

Culture Shock is a term used to describe the anxiety produced when a person moves to a completely new environment. The feeling of culture shock can usually set in after the first few weeks of arriving in a new country. Some of these symptoms: irritability, headaches or stomach aches, overly concerned with health, easily tired, loneliness, hopelessness, distrust of hosts, withdrawal from people and activities, painful homesickness, lowered work performance.

I have been had this process to. These are some of my culture shocks in this 5 month:

The first stage, I encountered the new things In Canada. Everything’s are wonderful. I was curious to find new things .These were taking the bus or going to a restaurant
After two months I entered the second stage, I encountered some difficulties or simple differences in my daily routine. For example, communication problems such as not being understood, food, attitude, and customs, these things got me bad feeling. I felt of discontent, impatience, anger, sadness, and a feeling of incompetence. This happens when I was trying to adapt to a new culture that is very different from my own.

Now I am in this stage. Sometimes I think what I am doing in Canada or I think is that right I moved in Canada or that is better come back to my country.
For this problem I try to compose myself and preoccupation to another thing for example I play with my son and I think I am here to improve my life.

Canadian culture

Hello my dear friend
I was Canada since March. I find very different workplace culture in Canada. I explan you some of them.
  • Be punctual (be prepared to start on time).
  • Know your roles and responsibilities.
  • Fulfill your duties and responsibilities.
  • Be able to work well with others (teamwork).
  • Rules and procedures that are emphasized more than relationships.
  •  An emphasis on deadlines rather than on relationships.
  • Canadians can be very informal in work relationships compared to individuals from other countries.
  • Expecting you to say what you mean more directly.
I think Canadian culture are very different us in many things for example driving rules, workplace culture, relationship and banking rules ...
I hope you these information s help you.

Best regards

    Cover letter for physics Teacher

    October 09,2014

    Mr. ......
    ......................................
    Mad Science of Toronto

    Dear Sir/ Madam
Ever since I started teaching at the high school level, I have been passionate in my commitment to three things: maximizing individual student performance, inspiring students’ interest in Physics and instilling a sense of self-worth among all students. I have dedicated my career to each of these pursuits.
That’s why I was excited to see the advertisement for a high school teacher. It would be an honor to teach your students and serve a district that maintains high educational standards and provides students with opportunities for personal growth.
My qualifications include 3 years of high school teaching experience, MEd and BS degrees in Atomic physics.
In my most recent position as privet high school teacher, I developed and taught 10th, 11th and 12th grade curricula. For more than 3 years, I provided effective classroom management, creative lesson plans, detailed student evaluations and highly praised instructional delivery. As an enthusiastic teacher, I founded and grew the school’s after-school teach Physics club, an innovative program that covered higher level at physics for high school students. The program became so popular that it was the school’s only after-school program that was consistently filled to capacity.
Although I have to leave the teaching physics because of I moved in Canada but I am eager to resume my teaching career and would be delighted to interview for this opportunity. Please feel free to contact me at 000-000-0000 or email … to set up a meeting.
Thank you for your interest and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Sincerely,

    Mahsa Payandenia
